It's Smart To Be Stupid
plus a doze of truth, giving first, embracing boredom and EV buying guide,
Can A.I. Be Stupid?
My guest this week, Christian Baujard, leads Paris Agency Les Présidents. With all the chat about ChatGPT and the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the creative industries, let's not forget that genuine creative thinking comes in from left-field, with lateral thinking born from counter-intuitive questions; so perfectly captured in Christian’s perspective as he references the genius Diesel Be Stupid Campaign.
For now, I think ChatGPT, soon to be powered by the upgraded GPT4 with its expanded parameters, will not reach the genius of Be Stupid.

The Truth Well Told
This Linkedin post by a laid-off tech worker is full of truth; about the nature of how corporations treat workers, the veneer of loyalty, the lack of genuine leadership, how cursed HR is as a function, and why ChatGPT and our creativity are both vital to individuals in the AI dominated future.
Action: Get on the AI flywheel and start testing and applying it to your life and field of interest.
Are You Ready For Electric?
Our friend and guest Karl Popham shared his EV Buyers Guide, a great resource for anyone with questions, seeking answers, and trying to decide if they are ready to go electric.
As Karl and his team share and scale this tool across the country, anyone can access this resource to build an understanding of the current electric vehicle market and the value of transitioning.

Embrace Boredom
So how do we unlock our creativity?
This great piece from the BBC explores the value of boredom and interviews Dr. Sandi Mann, author of The Science of Boredom, who breaks down the connection between boredom, daydreaming, and creativity.
Essentially we need to engage the part of our brain called the Default Mode Network(DMN), the area that allows us to problem solve, retrieve memories, and think and plan for the future.
To engage the DMN, we have to stop doing everything else…basically we need to switch-off to switch it on.
That is even more reason to turn off our constant stimulation and distraction from our phones and tablets. Listen here on Naturebang.
Action: Take time daily to daydream and capture your thoughts.
Give First
A life lesson from recent guest Jennifer Hutchins, was Give First; Don’t Ask. Having applied this in her life as a Hollywood producer, doors opened, opportunities emerged and relationships were built. Her interview is full of gems and is a perfect tonic to uplift anyone feeling at a loss.
